Silverspring Saskatoon; A brief history

A residential neighbourhood located in northeast Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. It is a suburban subdivision, composed mostly of low-density, single detached houses. As of 2007, the area is home to 4,936 residents. The neighbourhood is considered a high income area, with an average family income of $85,084, an average dwelling value of $322,670 and a home ownership rate of 97.8%.[1][2] According to MLS data, the average sale price of a home as of 2013 was $407,171.[3]

The majority of construction was during the late 1980s and through the 1990s, on land formerly administered by the University of Saskatchewan. The land for the Silverspring community was annexed between 1955, and 1959;[2] however, the majority of residential building construction was done after 1991, and a small amount of construction was just one decade before this.[1]
