The land where Brevoort Park currently exists was annexed to the city of Saskatoon between 1955 to 1959, and from 1961 to 1970 the majority of home construction took place. Brevoort Park School construction began in 1963 and it was opened in 1964.
Brevoort Park Saskatoon exists within the government electoral district of Blackstrap. It is currently represented by Kevin Waugh of the Conservative Party of Canada, first elected in 2015. Provincially, the location is within the constituency of Saskatoon Churchill Wildwood. It is presently represented by Lisa Lambert of the Saskatchewan Party, elected in 2015.
